The Mission of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is “a network of friends, inspired by Gospel values, growing in holiness and building a more just world through personal relationships with and service to people in need.” The conference provides assistance to our friends in the Sudbury community including connecting our friends to a variety of programs offered including:
During Home Visits, Vincentians bring hope and financial resources to neighbors in need through assistance with rent, food, clothing, and other emergency needs. Along the way, we develop friendships with those in need, listening and praying together. You can Contact Us to schedule a home visit with one of our conference members.
The Sudbury Food Pantry, located at Our Lady of Fatima church on Concord Road in Sudbury, provides food assistance to those in need.
The Town of Sudbury Social Worker provides resources, referrals, and public health education to town residents of all ages. Project Just Because (508 435-6511), located at 109 South Street, Hopkinton MA 01748 is a non denomination organization that provides general assistance for those in need.
Clothing and Thrift Stores
Receiving and distributing millions of pounds of clothing, thousands of pieces of furniture, and tons of household goods, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a major U. S. recycler. The lightly used items we provide to the poor at no cost can dramatically improve the quality of their lives. Revenues produced by store operations help subsidize our local outreach efforts.
